Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 21 October 1985. Perry talks about growing up in Pasadena and San Pedro, California. She describes her conversion to the Mormon Church and its effects on her life. She tells about relationships with white Mormons and her feelings about the Southwest Los Angeles Branch.
